Once a Knight, Always a Knight! 

Over the years, there have been many references made to the Ballou Alumni Association, but in actuality, such an organization did not officially exist until September 2014.  In the summer of 2013, a group of interested alums came together and began work on a written Constitution.    (The founding members are Theresa Thompson, Dena Lawson Briscoe, Lavonia Shirley, Wanda Lockridge,  Faithia Robertson, Robert Gregg, and Steven Lee. )  Not only was the Constitution written and ratified, a group of alums volunteered to serve as officers, spearheading the alumni association in the 21st century.  It is this dedicated group who has been involved in sponsoring alumni activities, such as the “Annual Alum Cookout",  homecoming tailgate parties, and soon we will be awarding alumni scholarships to Ballou seniors annually, and fundraising.  Please join the Alumni Association! We are now a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so your membership fee is tax deductible.

Any alum or present/retired Ballou High School teacher who is interested in the organized Ballou High School Alumni Association Inc. is invited to join the association and attend meetings. Want to help?  Volunteers are needed to serve on the standing committees.  Come to the meetings and learn how you can help your official alumni association grow.
